Spray-crete cement and sealers take 28 days to totally cure to approximately 5,700 psi. There is a 1 year limited warranty on surface lifting. Cracking is not guaranteed.

There are many cleaning solutions for the many types of dirt and stains. Most are harmless to the Spray-crete surface. If in doubt, do a test spot. The chemicals to avoid are the solvent type (acetone, xylene, etc.) They may re-emulsify the sealers and permanently fuse the dirt or stain within the sealers.

Powder soaps with bleach work best on certain stains such as oil and grease. They should be dissolved in warm water before applied to the stain or dirt. Scrub with hard bristle brush and rinse thoroughly. If the oil and grease stain is allowed to cure in the sun for extended period of time, it may be difficult to completely remove. Possibly 5-10% of the stain will still be visible. Liquid Soap such as dish soap will also cut oily stains and most common dirt. Iron-out removes rust stains.

Chlorine should bleach out most non-oily stains. A mild solution is recommended between 20% to 80% water. A stronger solution may be used if required. On stubborn stains allow the solution sufficient time to bleach out the stain. Rinse well or pressure clean the surface.

Muriatic acid can also be used. A mild solution is recommended between 20% to 80% water. A stronger solution may be used but ID is typically required to purchase. Stronger solutions will remove rust stains and a variety of non-oily stains. Rinse well or pressure clean the surface after application. DO NOT APPLY ANY SOLUTION OF CHLORINE OR MURIATIC ACID ON A NEW SURFACE LESS THAN 28 DAYS OLD. NEVER MIX CHLORINE AND MURIATIC ACID.

All the above liquid solutions may be applied with a watering can. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Cleaning products can be hazardous to eyes, skin, and may affect breathing. Always follow the manufacturers recommendations and use caution. When cracks reappear, they can be cleaned and filled with Elmers Squeeze n Caulk. Let the caulk dry and restain with water diluted stain.
