Deck Renovation Prep & Procedures
1. Please turn off all sprinklers until the job is complete.
Damp work areas can cause delays.
2. Please make arrangements to keep all pets out of work area
until work is complete. Our workmen cannot take responsibility
for the safety and security of your pets.
3. Please make sure that all furniture and heavy objects are
removed from the work area, prior to your start date.
4. Keep furniture off the newly resurfaced deck for at least 72
hours after completion. Moving furniture or other heavy objects
onto the deck too soon could result in damage to your new deck.
You should also refrain from walking on, or allowing your pet to
walk onto the deck for at least 24 hours.
5. Please make sure all fence / cage doors are unlocked for the
duration of the deck work so that our workmen have access to the
work area.
6. Please have a power and water source functioning and
accessible to the work area until the job is complete.
*** IMPORTANT PROCEDURE NOTES****
1. Applying a new surface to an existing deck is a unique
process and the procedures differ from other styles of
renovation / construction. Depending on the type of surface you
select, your deck application may take place over the course of
several days, with some of those days having no workmen on site
(allowing material to dry/cure/set, etc).
2. On days where workmen are present, they may arrive at
different times of the workday, or leave and return multiple
times to treat different areas while waiting for others to
dry/cure/set, etc.
3. If we are renovating a pool in conjunction with your deck
resurfacing, the majority of the deck work will be likely be
completed prior to the pool, but the final coat of the deck
(where applicable) will take place following the pool
completion. This is so that those workmen laboring on your pool
do not cause unnecessary wear and/or damage to your brand new
deck. I
